In “You Can Die”, FBI profiler Laurel Snow is against a savvy and brutal ritualistic murderer, who is killing men known to have committed adultery. One after the other, men she knows as well as strangers are being killed, with very little gap between the murders and this leaves her team scrambling to find evidence and clues that could lead them to the perpetrator. At the same time, she has been trying to find evidence that links her half-sister Abigail in the serial murders that had happened previously.
This book is yet another excellent work from author Rebecca Zanetti. She has created a brisk and tense narrative that captures the urgency and dire state of the situation without being too gross and brutal. The way Agent Snow’s character has been developed is on point; she is a woman of principles in spite of her unusual nature. The way she has opened herself to the people around her is beautiful to watch and so is her relationship with Captain Huck Rivers. They have a unique relationship with him always being very accepting of her various weird and quirky behaviors.
Snow’s investigation against Abigail seems to come to a head too, with her finally getting some concrete information about Abigail. I can’t wait to read the next book in this interesting series and couldn’t recommend it more to lovers of thrillers.
This book gets 5 out of 5 stars.
