Hi there.

Longtime readers might have noticed I took April off from this website and have yet to post in May.

That’s because I’m taking a sabbatical from reviews.

I’m been reviewing movies since 2011. Since 2018, this space has been the exclusive place where you could find my reviews.

I created InReview to gain editorial control and stability over my content. I previously wrote for a handful of publications, some of which have folded.

But every so often, I need a break to reset. This one is my first in seven years.

I’ll also use the time to rethink InReview’s publishing model. We’ve been active on TikTok, where our content has reached far more viewers than this website has, and I intend to continue to post there.

The last few years have been one of transition for InReview. While written reviews will always be a component of what we do, it’s no longer the largest part of the operation.

Other contributors will continue to publish here and I will continue to edit them. But it’ll be a while until you see another written review from me.

When you write reviews as long as I have, it’s easy to get into a rut; where you stop watching movies and shows for fun and you see them as a chore to do for work.

That was never my intention when I started this website. This is a space for people to share their passions and write about what they love.
