5. An Outstanding Must-Read Psychological Thriller | “The Girl in the Cabin” by Stacy Green (2023) Book Review

Another racy psychological thriller from Stacy Green featuring the ever intriguing Lucy Kendall is here. As much as I had liked the first two books in the Lucy Kendall series, I must say I loved “The Girl in the Cabin” even more. The story in this book was more focused due to the very clear nemesis we get in the form of Mary; I don’t think I have ever come across a more scary and disturbing character.

4. Action-Packed, Sexy, “Shut-Your-Brain-Off” Fun | “Star Justice, Book 1: Eye of The Tiger” by Michael-Scott Earle (2019) Book Review

Being the type of person who has never turned his nose up at a nice pulp sci-fi/fantasy mashup, the Facebook ads that led me to Michael-Scott Earle’s Eye of the Tiger did not steer me wrong. It’s one part comically violent futuristic action movie, another part cyberpunk thriller with just a dash of sexy vampire and weretiger thrown in. This story has all the makings of a complete three-car pileup of plot elements, but the author managed to put it all together surprisingly well, despite the admitted overall absurdity.

3. A Completely Engrossing And Sometimes Disturbing Thriller | “The Surgeon” by Leslie Wolfe (2023) Book Review

A surgeon loses a patient for the first time on the table and she admits that she didn’t want to save the patient” — this is the preface of “The Surgeon,” which intrigued me enough to read it. What motivates a surgeon to opt to not save her patient’s life? This was the burning question on my mind when I started reading the book.

2. Book Review: “Trinity’s Children” By Robert W. Ross Is An Exciting Beginning to an Epic Space Opera

Lately, there have been a growing number of books—especially those in the sci-fi genre—that are becoming steadily less subtle with their references to their sources of inspiration.  And while this may be something of an annoyance to many readers, Trinity’s Children, the first book in Robert W. Ross’ Paradigm 2045 series, seems to avoid any pitfalls of insipidity.

1. A Cozy Romantic Thriller | “Bowled Over Americano” By Carolyn Arnold Book Review
