After last episode’s mid-season finale, the momentum for “Star Wars: The Bad Batch” has come to a standstill with Season 3: Episode 8 “Bad Territory.”
This week’s episodes see Hunter and Wrecker (Dee Bradley Baker) do a mission for bounty hunter Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) in order to get intel on the Empire’s “M-count” bounties. This involves the three tracking down a target in a bayou planet, in which they traverse it in a skiff and battle space alligators.
Meanwhile, Omega (Michelle Ang) is helping Crosshair (Baker) come to terms with his PTSD and possibly overcome it, which has caused his hand to shake during missions, throwing his aim off as a sniper.
There really isn’t much more to say about the episode. It was a filler mission that had some fanservice in the form of series favorite Fennec that didn’t add much to any overall arc this season. I think it’s clear that Fennec is going to double cross them, which will either set up a foe for next episode or possibly for the series finale.
This wasn’t a bad episode. But it’s easily the least memorable so far this season.
“Star Wars: The Bad Batch” Season 3: Episode 8 gets a 7/10
